As a middle child, I often found myself caught between voices, balancing, adapting, and quietly carving out a space of my own. That quiet yearning for freedom grew into a deep love for travel: a way to escape, to explore, and to rediscover who I was beyond the roles I played at home. Every getaway became more than a trip; it was a step toward independence and self-discovery.
I built a career as an accountant in Singapore, but beneath the routine, I held onto a dream; to explore the world, learn new languages, and live life on my own terms. After a major life transition around 2010, I took my first solo trip to Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands in 2013. That journey wasn’t just a break; it marked the beginning of something deeper: a path to self-discovery, independence, and healing.
My love for hiking and mountain climbing grew naturally from those solo journeys. Being out in nature, feeling the earth beneath my boots, standing above the clouds, breathing in crisp mountain air, became my form of therapy. Each trail challenged not just my body but my mind and spirit. With every summit and track, I shed a little more fear and uncovered a little more of who I truly am. Each river I crossed taught me courage. Adventure became more than an escape, it became a way to reconnect with myself, find clarity, and grow stronger.
But my travel story actually began even earlier. At 19, freshly graduated from ITE, I started leading tours across Asia. That early exposure to diverse cultures and landscapes planted the seeds for the life I would later build.
In 2020, when the world went digital, I fully embraced the digital nomad lifestyle; blending work, travel, and the healing power of nature. It’s a lifestyle that allows me to move freely, live mindfully, and keep growing.
Through Edventure Trips, I share this evolving journey, from hiking and climbing mountains to discovering what it means to build a life that truly fits. I document my itineraries, trip expenses, and personal reflections, whether it’s a weekend escape or a long-term stay, so you can see what’s possible when you choose your own path.
If you're an aspiring digital nomad, a solo traveller, or simply someone longing for more; more freedom, more meaning, more nature, you’re not alone.
Welcome to the adventure, my Edventure.
